One-man army - Illustrator, colorist and cover artist
Born and raised amongst the swamps and alligators of Florida, John has made a living as an artist all over the U.S. before moving to Europe where he continued to ply his trade in the U.K. for over fifteen years. He currently resides back in sunny Florida with as many animals as his landlord will allow him to rescue.
John is just an amazing artist. Not only is he incredibly talented, but he's a joy to work with. His remarkable imagination is equally matched by his skills. He comes up with all the character/creature design and we are grateful he agreed to work on this project.
He does all the art, so he's the one who should get the most credit for the success of issue #1.
Visit his Instagram to get a glimpse of his incredible talent.
He has nice merchandise on Teepublic and you can commission original art on his Ko-fi page.
Creator, writer and co-editor
It's Gate's first shot at creating/writing a comic book, but he did write and direct two short films when he was younger, which gave him a good understanding (at least, that's what he thinks). His work has been featured twice at the Fantasia film festival in Montreal and has appeared in several other festivals such as Eerie Horror Fest and the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival.
His biggest influences are Ennis, Gotlib, EC, Creepy, Jonah Hex and Savage Sword of Conan. He took a 6-month sabbatical to make this comic happen. You could call it a mid-life crisis. Guess it was making a comic book or buy a sport car and get a mistress
Letterer and guru
The voice of experience on our team. This veteran does much more than just lettering. He brings a ton of knowledge to the project and his help is invaluable in every aspect of production. He's extremely patient with Gate, which is a good thing considering the many stupid questions he gets asked on a regular basis.
You can follow Tim on his blog.
Co-editor and translator
Julie does all the proofreading and has been sleeping with the writer for more than 30 years. She may downplay her role, but she's an indispensable part of the team.
Let's just say the writer would lose luster without her.
She's also in charge of the French version, Terre dépouillée.
Variant cover artist
Rob was born and raised in Brooklyn NY before moving to the rural mountains of western Massachusetts as a teenager, where he now enjoys the life of a family man and draws when not doing his day job as a firefighter.
These days, he enjoys diving into his favorite subject of horror, reading dude-bro lit, and watching new and old gritty, violent or low-brow comedies. Most of all, Rob enjoys spending time with his family.
He made a beautiful variant cover for issue #1 and will do sketches for the crowdfunding campaign. Check out his website and Instagram. You won't regret it.
Mr. Tissot is an amazing composer. We used his song Evolution for our serious promo. It made the it so much better. Let's be blunt: he puts many Hollywood composers to shame.
You can find many different styles of music to fill all your needs on his website at Bensound.com.
Danny Blanco did the voice for our English promo.
He's a highly sought after voice actor who can sound confident, ballsy, intimate, or reassuring. It all depends on the message! He's been voicing stuff for many moons now.
You can get in contact with him at BunnyStudio.
Le Tuxedo was kind enough to let us borrow his gifted voice for our French promo. The professional voice actor did a great job.
You can get in contact with him at Fiverr.
We were trying to convince another great artist to join the team, but we ran out of money.
This Korean artist does a lot of covers for Marvel and we'd be utterly delighted to have him on board. Who knows, it might happen further down the line.
Special thanks to the following companies who provide resources to artists with limited budgets.
